In (a) the bone scan is almost normal and the 123I MIBG image (b) at 24 hours shows multiple sites of increased uptake in the marrow of almost all vertebrae and sacroiliac regions. N MIBG therapy for childhood neuroblastoma is introduced after the initial chemotherapy and surgery for the tumour. Both complete and partial remissions have been obtained, but the therapy is palliative rather than curative.
